Description
Our client, a global retailer, is seeking an experienced End-User Computing Architect to join their team as an independent consultant for a period of 6 months. As an End-User Computing Architect, you will play a critical role in designing and implementing end-user computing (EUC) and end-user management (EUM) solutions for the organization.
Responsibilities:
- Collaborate with stakeholders to gather requirements and design discussions, ensuring alignment with business goals and objectives.
- Participate in architecture meetings to provide expertise and guidance on EUC/EUM strategies and best practices.
- Lead and oversee a large-scale RFP (Request for Proposal) process, including creating and managing the RFP documentation, evaluating vendor proposals, and making recommendations.
- Serve as a key member of the evaluation board, contributing to the selection of vendors and solutions based on technical and functional criteria.
- Participate in the contracting phase, working closely with legal and procurement teams to negotiate and finalize contracts with selected vendors.
- Contribute to the planning and execution of the transition and transformation activities, ensuring smooth adoption of new EUC/EUM solutions.
- Provide ongoing support and guidance to project teams and stakeholders throughout the implementation process.
- Stay updated on emerging technologies, industry trends, and best practices related to EUC/EUM architecture.
Role Requirements
Required Technical Capabilities:- Proficiency in workbase tech stack (specific tools and technologies relevant to the organization’s EUC/EUM environment).
- In-depth knowledge and experience with Apple macOS and its integration within enterprise environments.
- Familiarity with Azure Cloud and its utilization for EUC/EUM solutions.
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field (or equivalent experience).
- Proven experience as an EUC/EUM Architect, designing and implementing EUC/EUM solutions in complex environments.
- Strong knowledge of EUC/EUM architectures, technologies, and best practices.
- Experience running RFP processes and evaluating vendor proposals.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively collaborate with stakeholders at all levels.
- Strong problem-solving and analytical skills, with the ability to identify and address architectural challenges.
- Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities in a dynamic environment.
- Relevant certifications (e.g., Microsoft Certified: Modern Desktop Administrator Associate, Apple Certified Support Professional) would be a plus.
- Preferably based in the Netherlands and Dutch-speaking.
