Job Title: Business Analyst/Associate Consultant (permanent employee or independent contractor)

Location: Belgium (Mechelen or home-based)

As a business analyst, you will play a key role in the client delivery organization. You will work with Managers/Consultants to identify the root causes of client challenges by analyzing a range of metrics and observations, and help to create, communicate and implement solutions.  You will be trusted to manage independent workstreams of overarching client projects, support project coordination and conduct trainings for clients. Beyond client project work, the Business Analyst/Associate Consultant will also actively contribute to proposal development and the creation of thought leadership.

Responsibilities:

• Play an active role within the project team to structure complex problems our clients face, analyze the relevant primary and secondary data, develop the solution, and produce recommendations for action that can deliver tangible results
• Support client team in solution design and develop attractive proposals that inspire action from our clients
• Gather data firsthand; compile and analyze data to better understand root causes
• Build comprehensive presentations and reports that depict challenges and solutions effectively
• Provide input in client meetings, particularly on your independent workstream
• Communicate regularly with clients, both on progress and to deliver on projects, i.e. holding workshops, facilitating focus groups, conducting interviews and leading assessments
• Develop a key expertise/specialty that delivers value to our clients
• Contribute to the development of the DSS content/intellectual property by standardizing best practices from client projects. Drive knowledge management and sharing, creating materials and communicating internally on a regional/global scale
• Become a trusted partner to the client, recommend solutions to support the client engagement lifecycle 

Qualifications/Experience:

• Master Degree in Engineering or equivalent in relevant technical or business major, MBA/MS is preferred
• Mastery of standard office applications including Microsoft Word, Excel, Power Point
• Experience in consulting or work in an operations environment (particularly in HSE) would be considered as a significant advantage
• Fluentin written and spoken English and Dutch. Other languages will be a plus
• Ability to travel extensively up to 80 % of monthly time.
