As a fluent French and Spanish speaker, Gasnier will work closely across Alvarez & Marsal’S offices in Paris, Geneva, Madrid and Barcelona. She will spearhead the Debt Advisory team’s expansion in these geographies, supporting both financial sponsors and corporates with their debt financing requirements.

“As the financing markets have become increasingly complex, financial sponsors and companies are seeking the best solutions for their projects, given the variety of financing sources available. Additionally, in an uncertain environment, raising financing through traditional channels has become more challenging,” said Gasnier on the market developments.

“Alvarez & Marsal is well positioned to ensure these companies can access the financing they need to continue to grow, having significant reach across EMEA and beyond. The entrepreneurial culture is what attracted me to the firm, and I’m looking forward to playing a part in the continued growth in Europe.”

Tim Metzgen, Managing Director and EMEA Head of Debt Advisory, said: “Virginie brings a wealth of experience in advising a wide range of clients on their financing needs. Her extensive network will help further expand our client base across Europe and complements our existing EMEA presence.”

Gasnier’s arrival continues a run of senior hires to Alvarez & Marsal’s Debt Advisory practice, which sits within its Corporate Finance business.
