Maren Hauptmann new leader of Deloitte Consulting in Germany
Deloitte has appointed Maren Hauptmann as the new leader of Deloitte Consulting in Germany.
The 51-year old has been with Deloitte for a decade, serving as a partner in its Human Capital Consulting division. She is also a member of Deloitte’s Global Human Capital executive team.
Hauptmann has over 20 years of experience advising German and international clients from various industries on human capital, with a focus on organizational design and transformation, strategic change management, workforce management and target operating models.
“I am delighted to take on this new role. Our consulting business has grown above average in recent years and has built a strong reputation, particularly in the future topics of digital and sustainable transformation. I aim to continue on this path and ensure we focus on the right transformation topics.”
Volker Krug, CEO of Deloitte in Germany, described Hauptmann as the “ideal candidate to succeed Nicolai Andersen [who transitioned into a global role], and lead the German consulting business into its next chapter of success.”
In Germany, Deloitte generates around €1.3 billion in revenues, with consulting its fastest growing service line. According to data from Handelsblatt, Deloitte Consulting has managed to grow by more than 30% each year in the German market since the Covid-19 pandemic.
With her new role, Hauptmann will become one of the very few women at the helm of a major consulting firm in Germany. While the junior and medior levels of the industry are relatively even from a gender perspective, top leadership levels still are male-dominated.
Prior to becoming part of Deloitte Consulting, Hauptmann spent over 15 years at Roland Berger
