Circle Strategy acquires 30-person French consultancy P-Val
French consulting firm Circle Strategy has acquired P-Val, a boutique Paris-based firm with around 30 staff.
Established in 1994, P-Val is a consulting firm specialised in organisational transformation and culture, providing clients with the human capital ingredients to ensure successful strategic change.
Jean-Marc Liduena, Managing Director of Circle Strategy, said that the addition of P-Val will add complementary capabilities to the firm, and will roughly double its team in France to sixty consultants.
Established last year, among others by former leaders of a Big Four firm, Circle Strategy also has offices in Brussels and Luxembourg. The firm is the strategy consulting subsidiary of Square Management, a consulting group with over 900 consultants in France.
“The arrival of P-Val is a very important step in Circle Strategy’s growth plan. It gives us more impact and visibility in the market, and their expertise is completely complementary to that of Circle Strategy. Most important, there is a strong cultural connection between the two firms.”
As part of the deal, the founder of P-Val, Laurent Dugas, and its managing director, Martial Rouyère, will join Circle Strategy as senior partners.
Dugas said that the joining of forces, which comes in the year P-Val celebrates its 30th anniversary, will benefit the firm’s clients and consultants. “Our merger is set to be a winning recipe, with two complementary worlds to create an even better new one. And that is just the beginning!”
Meanwhile, Circle Strategy’s parent Square Management recently also closed a deal, purchasing Supper, an innovation and marketing-focused firm with 20 staff.
