Argon & Co acquires boutique procurement consultancy PrexPartners
In its second acquisition this year in Europe, Argon & Co has acquired PrexPartners, a boutique procurement consulting firm.
Based in Mönchengladbach (near Dusseldorf), PrexPartners is a procurement consultancy with around 20 consultants operating across Germany, Belgium and the Netherlands. The firm works with clients to design and deliver procurement programmes focused on operational excellence, spending efficiency, and sustainability.
Established in 2010 by Christian Dieker and Phillip Harter, PrexPartners works for clients across sectors.
Jean-François Laget, Group Managing Director of Argon & Co, said the acquisition will deepen the firm’s offerings in Western Europe, at a time when procurement is in high demand. “It is deeply exciting to welcome PrexPartners to Argon & Co. This move will strengthen our presence in Germany, Belgium and the Netherlands and bolster our procurement capability.”
PrexPartners meanwhile will benefit from Argon & Co’s scale and broader expertise, also spanning strategic operations, supply chain management, and logistics. In terms of size, Argon & Co has over 600 consultants in 17 offices worldwide. “We’re delighted to be joining Argon & Co and able to give our clients access to a broader network of experts in operational excellence all over the world,” said co-founders Dieker and Harter.
The co-founders will remain in their leadership roles as they become partners at Argon & Co. The third partner of PrexPartners, Klaus Weskamp, is also crossing to Argon & Co.
Earlier this year, Argon & Co acquired Pebble Business Transformation, a 30-person management consultancy firm that marked its entry into the Irish market, and celebrated the closing of its Caliba acquisition in Australia.
