EcoVadis ranks Avertim among the world’s most sustainable companies
Avertim has achieved the Platinum certification from EcoVadis, placing the Western European consulting firm among the most sustainable players in the global management consulting industry.
In the certification process, Avertim achieved the highest possible score (Platinum), placing it among the top 1% of companies across all industries in terms of sustainability performance.
EcoVadis is one of the leading business sustainability ratings agencies, conducting assessments using a stringent methodology that analyses policies, actions, and results. The certification highlights Avertim’s excellence in the areas of environment, labor & human rights, ethics, and sustainable procurement.
The news does not come as a major surprise for insiders – since being founded in 2007, Avertim has made a large number of ESG and CSR commitments. “We believe every company has a role to play in creating a sustainable future, and we are proud to be part of this change,” said Hervé Lefébure, CEO of Avertim.
Much of Avertim’s CSR policies are under the purview of their internal Ethics Committee, which manages whistleblower alerts, conducts investigations, ensures confidentiality, and more. This committee holds the organization accountable to its policies and values.
Before obtaining the Platinum certification from EcoVadis, the firm previously earned the Gold certification in March of 2023, which is the rating just below Platinum.
“Our sustainability efforts are embedded in our daily operations and corporate strategy, reflecting our belief that sustainable growth is not just about top and bottom line, but also about making a positive impact on the world,” said Lefébure.
Bruno Touze, Head of Sustainability at Avertim, added: “This Platinum certification by Ecovadis comes as a great recognition of our efforts toward sustainability in the various aspects of our business, but it also obliges us to continuously uphold the highest standards of environmental, social, and governance practices.”
Other big names in the consulting industry to also have earned EcoVadis’ prestigious Platinum certification include Boston Consulting Group, McKinsey & Company, and PwC, among others. Bain & Company, EY, and Accenture all recently were placed in the Gold band by EcoVadis.
Avertim has offices in Belgium, France, Germany and the Netherlands. The group has over 350 consultants and staff.
