Continuing its recruitment drive in the Netherlands, Synechron has kicked off the post-summer period with a dozen new hires, across its Consulting and Technology practices.

Crossing to Synechron from BDO, Reindert Tinga is a senior member of the Client Lifecycle Management practice. In the role of Associate Director, he will be responsible for leading client engagements in the areas of KYC and financial crime.

During his five years at BDO, he managed assignments in the field of risk, internal audit, and compliance. He also has deep expertise in financial crime, in particular anti money laundering and sanctions.

Previously, he spent over fifteen years at major banks Rabobank and ABN Amro and worked for the Dutch Authority for the Financial Markets (AFM).

Dhruv Shandilya similarly arrives with previous consulting experience, having served Grant Thornton, KPMG, EY-Parthenon and ZS throughout his 7 years in the industry. He specializes in topics including strategy, transformation, product launch, go-to-market development, and customer excellence.

Having relocated to the Netherlands for his new role, he now leads strategy and transformation projects at clients across financial services.

A 15+ year career has seen Shiv Rajah work in South Africa, Dubai and now the Netherlands, where he has been based since last month. He has extensive experience in the banking sector, with highlights including leading the product management teams at Emirates NBD and Nedbank. Earlier, he held roles in consulting and technology, leading and supporting the delivery of complex projects and IT implementations.

At Synechron, he has been appointed as an Associate Director in the Strategy, Transformation & Architecture practice.

Irma Czypionka brings over seven years of experience in management and digital consulting to Synechron, focusing on risk management within the investment banking space. She gained that experience at Monocle in South Africa, with her move to the Netherlands coinciding with her new professional challenge. Czypionka has been appointed a Manager in Synechron’s business consulting team.

Christin Pootsmaa and Florencia Tricio have both been welcomed as a Senior Consultant – they too are members of the business consulting unit.

Originally from Estonia, Pootsmaa moved to the Netherlands in 2023 to complete her master’s in Business Administration in Amsterdam. She combined her studies with a role at PwC, where she previously also worked back in Estonia and grew the ranks to Senior Consultant level. Pootsmaa enjoys working on projects from strategy through to execution and change management.

Arriving with a different path, Florencia Tricio previously gained experience in the banking sector with J.P. Morgan Chase in her native Argentina, where she worked in the Investment Banking division focused on conducting risk assessments for products and services that are prepared to launch on the market. Tricio relocated from Buenos Aires to Amsterdam last month, and focuses on projects in the banking sector.

Youp Hafkamp has joined Synechron as a Consultant in its Digital practice. After being introduced to Synechron at one of the firm’s Career Days for students during his studies, he was convinced that joining the consulting industry and Synechron in particular would provide the ideal kickstart of his career. Hafkamp holds a master's degree in Marketing Management.

Originally from Denmark, Camilla Hansen moved to the Netherlands to pursue her studies. With a master’s in Management Consulting under her belt, she will now bring her skills to practice at Synechron, where she is a member of the Client Lifecycle Management practice, which focuses on financial crime and compliance services to clients in the banking sector.

During her studies, Hansen gained work experience at both EY and Deloitte.

Originally from Greece, Dimitra Papaefthymiou has been in the Netherlands since early 2021, following bachelor (Finance) and master (Environmental Economics) studies at the Vrije Universiteit Amsterdam. With a keen passion for sustainability and the financial dynamics that drive ESG-related decision-making, she has found her ideal professional home in the Sustainable Finance practice of Synechron.

Another new member of Synechron’s Sustainable Finance team, Simran Sandhu has a background in law, working as a practicing lawyer for about five years before now making the transition to the consulting world. Prior to joining Synechron, he worked at a private equity firm, with his move to Synechron motivated by a desire to seek greener pastures and make more of an ESG impact at clients and in society.

With an interest in data, strategy and innovation, Elsie Geerdink joined Synechron’s Strategy, Transformation & Architecture practice at the start of last month. She gained a master’s in business administration from the University of Amsterdam of few years ago, and spent the past years gaining diverse work experience in places including the US and South Africa.

Originally coming from a Bulgarian-Moldovan background, Aleksey Popov has already been living in the Netherlands for eight years, completing both his bachelor and master studies in Groningen. He arrives at Synechron with an active post-study curriculum vitae, having founded his own consulting agency for international students and expats, and co-founded a game development house as well as a transportation start-up.

Hailing from Sweden, Isabelle Ljungqvist is a new member of the Strategy, Transformation & Architecture practice. She graduated from her master’s in International Business this summer, and previously obtained a bachelor’s in Business Administration. During her studies, she completed a six-month internship at Big Four firm Deloitte.

Rounding off the list of new joiners is Ricardo Zaldumbide, who has started as a member in the Talent Acquisition team. He has been working in human resources and recruitment for over a decade, among others at online supermarket Picnic and more recently fintech company Infront in the Netherlands.
