BearingPoint names Matthias Loebich as new Global Managing Partner

BearingPoint, a global consulting firm that is also a B Corp, has named Matthias Loebich as its new Global Managing Partner.
The firm’s new global leader assumes his new role with immediate effect and succeeds Kiumars Hamidian, who led the business through a period of strong growth and completed his maximum of two terms in the office.
Loebich was elected through a company-wide voting process, with every partner at the firm given an equal vote.
With Loebich at the helm, BearingPoint has placed its trust in of its longest standing leaders. He has been with the firm for 26 years, and was one of the founding partners that orchestrated its 2009 management buyout from the then ailing US business. That move laid the foundation for what BearingPoint is today – a €1 billion consulting and technology business with more than 6,000 employees, serving clients in 70+ countries.
Since the buyout, Loebich held several leadership roles, including serving as a member of the Global Management Committee since 2014. He also served as regional leader of the North American division, regional leader of the Asia division, global leader of the production sector, chief global network officer and global leader markets, and as the lead partner for the firm’s joint venture Arcwide.
In his client work, Loebich advises on large scale business and IT transformations, with a focus on clients in the manufacturing and industrial segments.
Commenting on his appointment, Loebich said: “I am honored to be entrusted as the Global Managing Partner of our firm and am thrilled to be given the responsibility of contributing to writing the next chapter in the success story of BearingPoint.”
“As I take on this new role, I’m excited about the journey ahead. I’m looking forward to further developing our firm along the strategic cornerstones of genuine client orientation, people empowerment, differentiation through innovative products, and leveraging global synergies. A key focus will be harnessing the power of our global presence and relevance to elevate the value we bring to clients.”
“Our purpose – ‘Together, we are more than business’ – will remain our guiding principle as we move forward, building on the strong culture and values that we have established.”
Meanwhile, Hamidian has announced that he will support a smooth transfer to Loebich in the coming period, after which he will commence his (early) retirement phase. “I am confident that Matthias will lead BearingPoint with the same dedication and vision that have been the hallmark of our success. His deep international industry expertise and his leadership experience make him exceptionally well-suited to lead BearingPoint into a prosperous future,” Hamidian said.
Prior to Hamidian, BearingPoint was led by Peter Mockler, who also had two terms in the office.
