Tom Gellrich joins Turnaround & Restructuring practice of AlixPartners
AlixPartners has strengthened its Turnaround & Restructuring practice in Germany with Tom Gellrich, who brings extensive experience in the field to the management consulting firm.
Tom Gellrich brings over 25 years of experience to AlixPartners, which has three offices in the German market: in Munich, Frankfurt, and Dusseldorf. Operating out of Munich, he will advise clients on the setup and delivery of restructuring and cost reduction programs, as well as on financial distress related work in the context of mergers & acquisitions and corporate carve-outs.
Gellrich joins AlixPartners as a Partner & Managing Director from Roland Berger, where he served as a Senior Partner and as Co-Head of its Organisation, People & Transformation practice. Before that, he was a partner at goetzpartners and worked at BearingPoint.
During his time in the consulting industry, he worked with clients from across a diverse range of sectors, including logistics, telecommunications, travel, automotive, aviation, consumer goods, and financial services.
In addition to his consulting background, Gellrich also held leadership roles at Commerzbank, where he played an important role in building its restructuring and performance functions. He also held a leadership role as Chairman of the Supervisory Board at InfraSolution, and previously served as a Professor of Banking & Finance at the International School of Management in Germany.
