Eight Advisory appoints Andreas Gemis to lead CFO advisory practice in Benelux

Eight Advisory has launched its CFO service offering in the Benelux, bringing on board Andreas Gemis to lead and build out the practice.

The CFO practice helps Chief Financial Officers with a wide range of strategic and financial matters, including finance transformation, performance improvement in the finance function, and financial reporting, as well with integrations, carve-outs, and organisational design.

The practice, which sits within its Transformation business, is already up and running in several markets including home base France, and is now making its debut in the Netherlands, Belgium and Luxembourg. Practice leader operates out of the firm’s Brussels office.

Providing direct advice and executing power to the office of the CFO for the transition into improved financial reporting, strengthening the working capital processes and position of the company, enhancing the treasury position within the company will not only make them more resilient it will benefit the wider organisation,” said Philippe Fimmers, Managing Partner of the Benelux team.

Prior to joining Eight Advisory, Gemis gained experience in both industry and management consulting. At Melexis, he gained experience in management reporting, budgeting, operational analysis and operating model design. At KPMG, his knowledge was expanded with accounting process (re-)designs, costing, inventory valuations, financial and operational planning and a focus on the technology and data part of finance.

Commenting on his appointment, Gemis said: “My goal is to deliver fast and qualitative added value to our clients, both locally and internationally, by focusing on one hand on core services around reporting, accounting and integrations but on the other hand as well on tech-oriented services around data and technology. Alongside business transformations, Eight Advisory also supports its clients with transactions (M&A support and financial due diligence) and restructuring (turnaround, crisis management and deb advisory). The firm works for corporates, mid-sized businesses and private equity funds.
