Capgemini, Mistral AI and Microsoft strike three-way generative AI collaboration
Global IT services company Capgemini has expanded its collaboration with Mistral AI and Microsoft in the area of generative AI.
Initially kicked off in 2023, Capgemini and Microsoft have been working together for the past year in close collaboration to co-create the Intelligent App Factory, which is Capgemini’s enterprise-wide generative AI offering on Microsoft Azure. The offering is built on the Mistral AI platform. Capgemini and Mistral AI have been working together formally since the start of 2024.
The expanded collaboration brings the three parties under one alliance, and aims at achieving two main goals: further integrating Mistral AI’s LLM technologies and Microsoft’s Cloud platform within Capgemini’ generative AI offering, and accelerating the roll-out of combined generative AI solutions at joint clients, with a focus on the European and North American markets.
Commenting on the alliance, Fernando Alvarez, Chief Strategy and Development Officer at Capgemini said: “Having worked with both Microsoft and Mistral AI extensively, we’ve already enabled many joint clients to move from ambition to action and achieve tangible business value with the application of AI and generative AI. This collaboration reflects our dedication to helping clients implement advanced technologies that drive growth and business value across the globe.”
Nick Parker, President of Industry and Partnerships at Microsoft added: “Through this collaboration with Mistral AI and Capgemini, we will deliver innovative solutions that fully leverage the potential of generative AI to enable business transformation and growth.”
Arthur Mensch, Cofounder and CEO of Mistral AI, stated: “Our models, which offer unparalleled customization and robust multilingual capabilities, combined with Microsoft’s powerful cloud platform and Capgemini’s deep industry insights and business transformation expertise, are essential for global organizations on their journey to AI adoption.”
According to a recent study from McKinsey & Company, generative AI has the potential to add between $2.6 trillion to $4.4 trillion annually to the global economy in the coming years. At present, customer service, sales and marketing are considered the most active uses cases.
