Johannes Schilling leads German arm of Archery Strategy Consulting

Archery Strategy Consulting has appointed Johannes Schilling as the new leader of its German business.

The new German leader has been with Archery Strategy Consulting since 2022 and has now been tasked with steering the local arm through its next phase. Launched in 2020, the German arm of Archery Strategy Consulting has successfully established a presence in its two key sectors of focus: Aerospace & Defence and Transport & Logistics.

Founded in 2013 in France, Archery Strategy Consulting is one of the leading boutique consulting firms in the French market. The firm operates with offices in Paris and Frankfurt, and also serves the US and Asia markets through strategic partnerships with counterparts (including Avascent).

Schilling has extensive experience in the aeronautics, defense, space, transportation, and logistics sectors, specialising in strategy, operational excellence, performance improvement, cost efficiency, and business transformation.

Before joining Archery Strategy Consulting, he spent about two years as program manager at LIXIL, an international producer of housing equipment. During this time, he focused on developing the international R&D footprint and driving component reuse among other topics. Prior to that, Schilling spent seven years at CYLAD Consulting, mostly working on engagements with multinational aerospace and defence clients.

Schilling succeeds Matthias Feix, a former BCG consultant who launched the German office in 2020 and has taken a sabbatical to contemplate on his next adventure. “Starting from scratch during the pandemic and assembling a capable team that consistently delivered results was no small task. I’m very proud of what we’ve achieved together,” Feix reflected in a LinkedIn post.

Johannes Schilling holds an MBA from Plymouth University and a Master of Arts in Responsible Management from Steinbeis University in Berlin.
