Strategy& adds Christoph Forster to Restructuring practice in Germany

Strategy& has strengthened its Restructuring practice in Germany with the hire of Christoph Forster.
Appointed a partner in its Munich office, the 45-year old Christoph Forster has almost 20 years of consulting and industry experience. He has extensive experience in performance improvement and restructuring, advising companies across sectors on strategic transformations, restructuring, turnaround, efficiency improvement, carve-outs and post-merger integrations, and value creation.
Forster joins Strategy& from Roland Berger, where he was a partner in its Restructuring practice, and before that, he served AlixPartners. His consulting experience leans towards clients in the automotive and industrial sectors, leveraging the 10 years of experience he previously gained at Audi and Porsche, among others, where he held (senior) roles focused on strategy, operations, transformation and performance improvement.
Christoph Forster obtained a degree in Industrial Engineering from the Technical University of Ingolstadt and a Master of Business Engineering from the University of Stuttgart. He also holds a doctorate in Industrial Manufacturing & Factory Operations from the University of Stuttgart.
“With the ongoing challenging economic situation in Germany and other parts of Europe, many companies are faced with the urgent need to make their business model efficient and future-proof at the same time. Christoph brings precisely this expertise to our clients,” said Andreas Späne, the European leader of Strategy&.
“Christoph is an expert in implementing successful turnarounds and bringing companies back on the growth path,” noted Erik Hummitzsch, partner at PwC, the parent of Strategy&.
