S&P Global and EcoVadis name Atos a global frontrunner in ESG and sustainability

Atos has been placed by two different analyst firms among the world’s top performing companies in the area of ESG and sustainability.

The technology consulting and services company, which is the parent of Eviden, has been named among the most sustainable companies in the IT sector by S&P Global in its annual Corporate Sustainability Assessment benchmark. This benchmark has been conducted since 1999 and today covers over 10,000 companies globally.

With a score of 74/100, Atos achieved a top 5% score in the IT services sector. The assessment highlighted significant strengths in environmental management and the transparency of sustainable reporting, as well as recognized the impact of Atos’ long-standing environmental program, which started 14 years ago.

By continuously improving our practices, we aim to set a benchmark in the industry and contribute positively to global environmental and social challenges.”

The recognition came hot on the heels of Atos receiving similarly positive news from EcoVadis. EcoVadis is one of the world’s best-known platforms for measuring ESG performance. The researchers assess companies on four aspects – Environment, Labour & Human Rights, Ethics and Sustainable Procurement – and based on their assessment, hand out ratings from Bronze through to Silver, Gold and Platinum.

Between 2016 and 2023 Atos achieved Gold, but last year, Atos was promoted to the Platinum band, meaning that it according to EcoVadis belongs to the 1% most sustainable companies in the world. In February, EcoVadis confirmed that Atos has maintained its top position for the year 2025.

Atos employs more than 82,000 people in 69 countries. The France-headquartered group has an annual revenue of circa €10 billion.
