synvert grows SAP expertise with acquisition of Brightcon

International data consulting company synvert has acquired Brightcon, a Swiss firm specialised in SAP services.
Established in 2008, Brightcon is an IT consultancy that advises and supports organizations in the DACH region with the designing, building, implementing and running systems in the SAP domain. The firm specialises in domains such as business intelligence, data warehousing, enterprise performance management, and analytics.
With the addition of Brightcon, synvert deepens its SAP capabilities, and beefs up its capability to drive broader data-driven transformations leveraging SAP technology. This latter service has been in high demand recently, with SAP rolling-out all kinds of improvements to how its customers can tap data to generate valuable insights, including enhancements to SAP Business Data Cloud and a recent partnership between SAP and Databricks.
“The opening of the SAP ecosystem is creating completely new opportunities to analyse data in real time and make AI-supported decisions. By combining Brightcon’s SAP expertise and our experience with modern cloud data and AI technologies, we are creating the basis for tapping into this potential in a very concrete way,” said André Holhozinskyj, CEO of synvert.
René Paul, Managing Director of synvert in Switzerland, added: “With Brightcon, we are gaining a team with a deep understanding of SAP landscapes. This allows us to provide companies with even more targeted support when combining SAP and AI – be it in terms of integration, architecture or building modern data platforms.”
Formed in 2021 through the merger of several boutique consulting firms in multiple countries, synvert is a 500-person firm dedicated to data services, including data management, cloud, analytics and artificial intelligence. Alongside SAP, the company also has partnerships with technology vendors such as Databricks, Snowflake, AWS, Microsoft, Google, and Oracle.
“In synvert, we have found the ideal partner to jointly develop powerful, integrated analytics solutions that combine both classic SAP expertise and state-of-the-art AI methods,” noted Ralph Riede, Managing Director at Brightcon.
