BearingPoint appoints Philipp Schwarz as partner in Aviation practice

BearingPoint has strengthened its Aviation practice in Germany with Philipp Schwarz, who crosses from Accenture.
After serving Accenture for two decades, Philipp Schwarz has per the start of this month moved to BearingPoint, where he has been appointed a partner in its Aviation & Travel practice.
Schwarz brings more than 20 years of experience in the aviation industry to the role. “I have been working with major global travel companies in management and technology consulting over the past 20+ years,” said Schwarz, who specialises in areas such as business process analysis and re-design, functional and operations architecture, IT assessment, and program management for large transformations.
With a track record at airlines, airports and other industry players, BearingPoint partner Marion Schulte said that Schwarz will provide a boost to the firm’s offerings in the landscape.
“Philipp brings over 20 years of experience in consulting the aviation industry – an area where operational excellence and technology go hand in hand. His deep expertise in core airline processes, coupled with an excellent grasp of innovative technologies, makes him a real asset to our team.”
At a time of rapid disruption and digitisation, Schwarz emphasized that the aviation industry will require both the strategic knowhow and courage, as well as technological proficiency, to adapt to commercially robust and future-proof ways of working.
“The digital transformation of the sector requires both business acumen as well as a deep understanding of the often outdated underlying technologies to define and implement modern solutions that put the customer in the center. At BearingPoint, our team helps our clients define their target, develop their path and make it happen.”
