Translink promotes two M&A advisors in its Spanish business

International M&A consultancy firm Translink has promoted two of its company members in Spain.
Promoted to Director, Ian Carbó has been with the firm for three years, having previously gained M&A experience with Baker Tilly, Barcelona-based teamOn Corporate Finance and another company.
He advises mid-market clients on topics such as corporate finance, mergers & acquisitions (both buy and sell side), debt advisory, fundraising and financial restructuring services.
“Ian is a highly valued member of our team,” stated Translink in post on LinkedIn. “He has demonstrated a great ability to lead complex projects and build trusting relationships with national and international clients.”
Marcos García Cortés meanwhile has assumed the position of Vice President, promoted up from Associate level. “His dedication, rigorous analysis and strategic vision have been key in numerous transactions in recent years.”
Cortés has been with Translink since early 2023, before that he gained experience in M&A and investment banking with Jefferies.
The news comes shortly after Translink saw one of its larger recent deal mandates in Spain come to a successful close, with the firm involved as financial advisor in the acquisition of Solchem by Azelis.
In 2024, Translink expanded its presence in the Benelux through a local acquisition, while last month the company inked a strategic partnership with Derenia Capital, an M&A advisory firm operating in Morocco and Tunisia, to expand its presence in North Africa.
