Xynteo names Rasmus Lundsgaard Nielsen as Chief Executive Officer

International sustainability consultancy Xynteo has appointed Rasmus Lundsgaard Nielsen as its new Chief Executive Officer.
Rasmus Lundsgaard Nielsen steps into the role of CEO with extensive leadership experience in strategy, mergers & acquisitions, business transformation, and organisational scale-up. Most recently, he served as Head of Nordics at PA Consulting and as partner in the Energy Transition practice.
Prior to that, among others, he founded Lundsgaard Advisory (a consultancy specialised in renewables) and was part of Nordic management consultancy Qvartz, which was acquired by Bain & Company in 2020. He also served as executive committee member and Senior Vice President at Vestas, where he led corporate strategy, M&A, and market intelligence.
At Xynteo, Nielsen has been tasked with leading the consulting firm into its next phase of growth. Headquartered in London, with further offices in Mumbai and Gurugram, Xynteo provides expert-led sustainability and energy transition services to organisations and investors. The firm has around 100 staff.
Asked why he was drawn to the company, Nielsen said: “We’re building something truly different at Xynteo – a mission-driven advisory that will challenge the status quo in consulting.”
“We know that at this point in the sustainability transition, organisations everywhere need more than just advice. They need practical, actionable solutions that drive measurable results at scale. Our approach combines an applied, pragmatic lens on sustainable value creation, with a growing alliance of partners, investors, and advisors, to bridge the gap between ambition and execution for our clients.”
“We are delighted to welcome Rasmus to lead Xynteo into its next chapter,” stated Michael Youtsos, Partner at Leon Capital, the majority shareholder of Xynteo. “His visionary leadership and deep expertise align perfectly with our mission to inspire and enable businesses to build a more sustainable future.”
