Wavestone buys French digital product development firm Wivoo

International consulting firm Wavestone has boosted its capabilities in France with the acquisition of Wivoo, a firm specialised in the development of digital products.

Founded in 2019, Wivoo helps companies design, build and improve digital products and applications. The firm has since its inception completed over 600 projects and grown to a team of 100 professionals, working for technology and e-commerce departments of businesses in sectors such as retail, financial services and media.

In a deal worth €16 million, comprising €11.5 million upfront and €4.5 million subject to performance in the coming years, Wivoo has now become part of Wavestone.

Join forces allows us to take a leading position on a topic that is increasingly strategic for our clients – digital product management. Together, we aim to become a major force in the French digital ecosystem,” said Reza Maghsoudnia, Development Director at Wavestone.

With over 6,000 consultants in 17 countries, Wavestone is one of the world’s larger consulting firms. The firm’s headquarters are located in Paris, France.

“By joining Wavestone, we see a dual opportunity: to offer our current clients a broader range of capabilities for more ambitious projects, and to reach new clients that were previously out of our scope due to our size,” said Thibaut Desreumaux, Wivoo CEO and Co-Founder (the others are Julien Davignon and Marine Bonlieu).

As part of the integration, Wivoo will continue to operate under its own brand, with the tagline ‘a Wavestone company’ added to its logo. The thee Co-Founders have all committed to remain on board for at least two years.

Closing acquisitions has been a common move for Wavestone, part of its growth strategy to become a €1 billion consulting company (which it likely will achieve in 2026). In Europe, the firm bought Q-Perior, Coeus Consulting and PEN Partnership among numerous deals, while Wavestone also closed deals in North America.
