EY appoints Zeynep Deldag as new Consulting Leader in the Netherlands
EY has named Zeynep Deldag as the new Head of its Consulting practice in the Netherlands. A seasoned leader with more than 25 years at EY, Deldag brings extensive international experience and deep industry expertise to her new role.
Zeynep Deldag steps into the position from her previous role as Financial Services Lead for Consulting, where she successfully guided one of EY’s largest industry verticals in the Netherland, enhancing the practice’s agility to meet evolving market demands over the past two years.
As Head of Consulting, she now leads the entire Consulting business, spanning all sectors, including public, consumer & health, technology, media and telecom sector. Additionally, she oversees various functional disciplines of technology, business, risk, finance and people consulting and the recently launched EY Studio+, which houses EY’s design, customer experience, digital, marketing, sales and customer technology capabilities.
Deldag is responsible for driving strategy and overseeing client relationships, project delivery, thought leadership, and talent management. She leads a team of 600+ consultants with 45 partners operating from multiple offices across the Netherlands.
“I’m honoured to take on this extended role and excited to lead EY’s Consulting team,” said Deldag. “At EY, our consultants work tirelessly to build a better working world by driving business transformation that matters through the integrated power of people, technology, and innovation.”
Around the world
One of the most internationally experienced partners at EY’s Dutch office, Deldag began her career in Turkey, where she grew up and started out at Andersen. Her career has taken her across the globe – working and living in Turkey, Russia, Kazakhstan, the UK, the US, and the Netherlands. During her academic years, she also spent time in Austria and Lebanon.
This global exposure and cultural fluency make Deldag well-suited to lead EY’s diverse Dutch Consulting team. The firm’s consultants span a wide range of specialties and sectors, and its Netherlands office is renowned as a multicultural hub.
Having joined EY in 2002 through the firm’s acquisition of Andersen’s Turkish operations, Deldag has held several senior leadership roles over the years. She was promoted to partner in 2012 and has been based in the Netherlands since 2016.
In her client work, Deldag focuses on large-scale finance, business and digital transformation, and regulatory-driven change programs. She will continue to work closely with the Financial Services practice and serve as Client Serving Partner for several global banking and insurance institutions.
“Zeynep has spent her entire professional career at EY, and has a proven track record of delivering excellence, leading international multidisciplinary teams and building trusted senior client relationships,” said Patrick Gabriëls, CEO of EY in the Netherlands. “She is the right person to lead our Consulting practice into its next phase of growth as we strengthen our position as a trusted partner in our clients’ transformation journeys.”
