Air France-KLM flies in Accenture for new group-wide Generative AI Factory
Air France-KLM has announced its ambition to build a Generative AI Factory, with Accenture selected as its technology consulting partner and Google Cloud as its hyperscaler.
The new Generative AI Factory will provide the technological infrastructure to scale generative AI across the Air France-KLM group, which covers French airliner Air France, Dutch airliner KLM, and a number of other carriers such as Transavia.
In the Generative AI Factory, professionals will develop, test, and manage gen AI models, as well as machine learning models and agentic AI bots. The Factory will also serve as the group’s center of excellence for scaling gen AI and company-wide implementations.
Air France-KLM has to date already been quite active in experimenting with generative AI, in areas such as ground operations, engineering & maintenance, and customer service. For example, the airline launched an AI-tool that improves the diagnostics around aircraft damage, a tool for internal document search, and chatbots that learn though LLM-models.

Accenture is one of Air France-KLM’s management consulting and technology partners on several fronts, including in the area of cloud and architecture modernisation.
