EY-Parthenon boosts Automotive practice with three new partners

EY-Parthenon has expanded its Automotive practice in Germany with the addition of Nikolaus Helbig, David Heider, and Melina Weidenbach. The three partners are based in Munich and Düsseldorf.

Nikolaus Helbig brings over 20 years of experience advising international automotive manufacturers and suppliers, with a focus on transforming and optimizing value chains. He was previously a long-standing partner at Deloitte and has also worked for McKinsey & Company and Siemens, among others.

Reflecting on his move, Helbig said: “With the integration of strategy and transaction consulting, EY-Parthenon can offer the automotive industry the strategic and capital-related guidance it needs to thrive in the innovation-driven, competitive, and rapidly evolving market of the coming years.”

David Heider is an expert in supply chains, distribution models, operations, and circular economy strategies. He was a partner at Deloitte and has previously worked at BMW Group, among other roles.

Heider commented: “Supply chain resilience has become increasingly urgent in the automotive industry, particularly in the context of new tariffs and raw material shortages. The key levers for transformation have been identified – now the focus is on rapid and consistent implementation. EY-Parthenon’s pan-European network provides an excellent framework to achieve this.”

Melina Weidenbach specialises in sales strategies across both new vehicle and aftersales segments. She also develops strategies for sustainable business models, circular economy initiatives, and new mobility concepts. Before joining Deloitte, she spent around 15 years at Accenture.

Weidenbach added: “EY-Parthenon has a very strong automotive team with outstanding consulting capabilities. I look forward to helping clients develop actionable strategies for the mobility of tomorrow and to accelerate the critical transformation underway in the industry.”

Commenting on the senior hires, Sandra Krusch, Managing Partner of EY-Parthenon in Germany, said: “We are delighted to welcome Nikolaus, David, and Melina. They bring exceptional consulting expertise and deep industry experience to our automotive practice. Their addition strengthens our profile and will help drive our growth in this strategically important sector.”
