Boston Consulting Group appoints Benjamin Morach as Head of Switzerland
Boston Consulting Group (BCG) has installed a new Country Head for Switzerland, appointing Benjamin Morach to lead its Swiss offices in Zurich and Geneva.
Originally from Basel-Landschaft, the 37-year old new country leader is a recognized expert in private equity and strategic transformations. He succeeds Joachim Stephan, who led BCG’s business through a phase of growth, and helped expand its capabilities into new areas, including digital strategy (with BCG Platinion) and procurement (with Inverto).
Morach is a Managing Director & Partner in Zurich, and a leader in the Private Equity team. He has extensive experience guiding financial investors through all stages of the investment lifecycle – strategy, due diligence, portfolio acceleration, transaction services – and in implementing value creation programs. His expertise spans a variety of industries, such as industrial goods, infrastructure, and health care sectors.
Commenting on his new role, Morach said that he continues to build on the firm’s successful fundament. “Switzerland offers dynamic growth potential. Our goal is clear: to strengthen our local presence, create lasting value alongside our clients – while continuing to develop our talent in Zurich and Geneva.”
Michael Brigl, BCG’s Managing Director for Central Europe, stated: “This leadership change combines continuity with fresh energy: Benjamin embodies rigor in execution, closeness to clients, and commitment to the next generation. We also thank Joachim for his leadership and are delighted that he will continue to serve the firm with a focus on our activities in technology, media, and telecommunications.”
Boston Consulting Group, one of the globe’s leading strategy consulting firms, first expanded into Switzerland in 1989 when it opened its Zurich office. The Geneva base launched in 2012. Today, the firm employs around 500 people across the two offices.
