BRG adds Frédéric Palomino to Antitrust & Competition practice in France

Global consulting firm BRG has strengthened its partner team in Paris with Frédéric Palomino.

Appointed a managing director in the Antitrust & Competition practice, Frédéric Palomino brings extensive experience in the domain to the firm. His career in competition economics and litigation spans sectors including energy, agri-food, transport, telecommunications, financial services and media.

Palomino has advised clients in merger and antitrust cases before the European Commission, French competition authorities and other jurisdictions; and has served as an economic expert in litigation involving shareholder disputes, breach of contract and follow-on claims.

His academic credentials include a PhD in Economics from the European University Institute and professorial roles at Tilburg University, HEC Paris, EDHEC, ENSAE and ESSEC. His research has been published in leading journals such as the Journal of Finance, RAND Journal of Economics and Journal of Labor Economics.

“I am thrilled to join BRG and contribute to its dynamic and growing competition and litigation practice,” said Palomino. “The firm’s commitment to rigorous economic analysis and its collaborative culture make it an ideal platform to expand my practice and serve clients across France and Europe.”

Kai-Uwe Kühn, managing director at BRG, said: “Frédéric’s arrival adds significant depth to our European team. His experience and his broad skills in incentive, financial and competition economics are an invaluable addition as we continue to support clients in increasingly complex competition matters.”

David Sunding, BRG’s vice chair and Antitrust & Competition practice co-lead added: “Frédéric joining BRG is a natural next step in our strategy of selective expansion across Europe. His practice has immediate synergies with our work in international arbitration, securities disputes and regulatory investigations. His leadership will enhance our ability to deliver integrated solutions to clients navigating complex, multijurisdictional challenges.”

US-headquartered BRG launched its Antitrust & Competition practice in France around two years ago. Since its entry in the French market, the local team has worked on several landmark cases in the country and the French-speaking part of Belgium.
