Valcon appoints Marc van Ogtrop as Managing Partner for Southeast Europe
International consulting firm Valcon has appointed Marc van Ogtrop as its new Managing Partner for Southeast Europe. He succeeds fellow Dutchman Paul ten Haaf.
Marc van Ogtrop brings over two decades of experience in the technology space, with a proven track record of leading digital transformation programs and building client relationships. He joins Valcon from Levi9, a nearshore technology services company, where he spent over six years, latterly as industry director responsible for the media, marketing and retail sectors.
Before that, he was Business Development Director at MMIT International, a marketing technology services provider. He also spent a while at Sopra Steria earlier in his career.
In his new role, Van Ogtrop will assume responsibility for Valcon’s six IT delivery centres in Croatia and Serbia (‘Southeast Europe’), which combined have around 300 staff. This business provides nearshore technology services to clients and Valcon project teams in areas such as cloud (Azure), process automation (Appian, Pegasystems and UiPath) and low code (Mendix, MS Power and SAP Business Technology Platform).
Drawing on his experience, he will focus on driving commercial growth and strengthening client relationships, in addition to collaborating with teams across the regions to oversee and support digital transformation programs for clients.
“I am delighted to be joining Valcon at such an exciting time in its growth journey. I am looking forward to working with our talented teams across the regions to drive regional growth in Southeast Europe, deepen client engagement and help integrate nearshore capabilities into Valcon’s broader international strategy,” said Van Ogtrop.
Geert van den Goor, CEO of Valcon, commented: “We are thrilled to welcome Marc to Valcon’s leadership team. His deep experience in the technology services sector and proven ability to build strong client relationships make him an excellent fit. His leadership will be instrumental as we continue to grow our nearshore operations and strengthen our presence across Southeast Europe.”
