BOAL Extrusion enhances operational planning with Beyonder’s AI solution
BOAL Extrusion, a Netherlands-based manufacturer of aluminium profiles, has launched a digital transformation programme to enhance its planning and logistics functions. The company has selected Beyonder as its solution and implementation partner.
BOAL Extrusion develops and produces customised aluminium solutions for applications in building, construction, solar panels, electrical engineering, and transport. The company operates from sites in the Netherlands and the United Kingdom.
Aiming to strengthen its planning capability – a key factor of competitiveness and profitability within manufacturing – BOAL Extrusion is investing in an advanced, AI-driven solution. This will centralise data from multiple sources and use AI to elevate operational planning across production and transport.
Beyonder’s solution has a proven track record of optimising logistical flows in the manufacturing sector, delivering measurable improvements in efficiency, cost reduction, and delivery predictability through data-driven decision-making.
“For BOAL Extrusion, innovation is the engine for sustainable growth. We were looking for a scalable solution with a direct, demonstrable ROI to further strengthen our processes. With this new application, BOAL Extrusion will further optimise its complex supply chain and reinforce its competitive position,” said Gertjan Hakkers, Managing Director at BOAL Extrusion.
Hakkers added that the benefits will extend beyond operational gains. “By translating our specialist knowledge into digital processes, we secure that expertise and make onboarding new colleagues much easier.”
The collaboration with Beyonder
The design and planning phase of the collaboration has already been completed, with BOAL Extrusion and Beyonder now working together on the implementation.
“Beyonder’s practical approach immediately appealed to us,” said Hakkers. “By working step-by-step and focusing on the real bottlenecks in our transport planning, we were able to quickly establish a strong business case. We can already see how this will save costs and increase our predictability. That is crucial for our operation.”
Commenting on the project, Erik Moerkerken, Managing Partner of Beyonder, said: “True digital acceleration in the manufacturing industry happens at the intersection of people and technology. The deep manufacturing process knowledge from BOAL Extrusion’s specialists was crucial. By combining that with our expertise in digital acceleration and AI, we are now building a solution that truly makes a difference in their daily practice.”
Beyonder is headquartered in Netherlands, where it has four offices. Its international hubs are in Germany and Norway.
