EY acquires German finance consulting firm Qiado
Big Four firm EY has acquired Qiado, a Germany-based finance and digital transformation consulting firm with around 40 staff.
Based in Bernau am Chiemsee, with further offices in Lübeck (Germany) and Lisbon (Portugal), Qiado supports its clients with the (digital) optimization of processes in the finance and IT domains, with a focus on contract lease management, financial process optimization, and SAP implementation.
Effective January 1, Qiado has become part of EY – its team has been integrated into the Financial Accounting Advisory Services (FAAS) business line. The Qiado brand name has been discontinued.
“With the highly specialized expertise of Qiado’s consultants, we are strengthening our FAAS business and further expanding our consulting services in the areas of financial optimization, financial transformation and process automation in the context of accounting and reporting,” said Gerd Winterling, Partner and Head of the FAAS business unit.
The FAAS arm of EY now comprises around 30 partners and over 400 consultants. In Germany, EY employs more than 11,000 people working from 18 locations across the country.
Commenting on the joining of forces, Felipe Nogueira Matzke, Managing Director of Qiado, said: “With EY’s global network and comprehensive expertise and solutions, we will grow significantly more in the area of financial transformation, strengthen our service portfolio and significantly expand our customer base in the Germany and Western Europe region.”
Earlier acquisitions of EY in the DACH market include denkstatt (2024), ifb (2022) and Innovalue (2016).
