Belgian AI consultancy ML2Grow acquired by delaware
IT consulting firm delaware has completed an acquisition in Belgium. The bolt-on of ML2Grow expands the firm’s capabilities in artificial intelligence and machine learning.
Founded in 2017 as a spin-off from Ghent University, ML2Grow is a specialist in artificial intelligence (AI) services. The company advises organisations on AI strategy, develops algorithms and models, and supports the implementation of AI solutions.
Since its inception, ML2Grow has delivered AI projects for more than 100 organisations. These range from innovation initiatives in healthcare, such as projects for UZ Ghent, to sustainability programmes for DRUMDRUM, a leading player in industrial packaging.
The addition of ML2Grow significantly boosts delaware’s AI services offering, with the ML2Grow team (around a dozen members) bringing deep expertise in computer vision, natural language processing (NLP), machine learning operations (MLOps) and AI engineering.
“This acquisition is an important step in our ambition to help organisations unlock the full potential of AI,” said Jan De Bock, Managing Director of delaware in Belgium and Luxembourg. “It also supports our goal to fully commit to AI as a company, ensuring our clients benefit from top talent, advanced technology and integrated intelligence.”
Following the acquisition, delaware’s AI team now comprises around 85 specialists, positioning the firm among the market leaders in this domain in Belgium.
“This integration with delaware is a logical next step in ML2Grow’s growth journey,” said Joeri Ruyssinck, CEO of ML2Grow. “It gives our clients access to a broad range of technical AI capabilities that are truly unique in the Belgian market. By joining forces, we can better address the increasingly complex challenges surrounding AI adoption.”
Globally, delaware employs more than 5,000 people across 20 countries.
