Investec appoints Robert Bosch as partner in Dutch M&A advisory business
Investec has strengthened its M&A advisory business in the Netherlands with the appointment of Robert Bosch as a partner.
Robert Bosch brings around 20 years of experience in investment banking and mergers & acquisitions to Investec Advisory, the firm’s M&A advisory division. He joins from Rothschild & Co, where he spent the past decade and progressed to the role of director. Earlier in his career, he worked at Barclays.
With a strong track record in mid-market transactions, Bosch has advised on deals across sectors including industrials, business services and consumer goods. His experience spans both buy-side and sell-side mandates for companies and private equity clients.
In his new role, Bosch will primarily focus on supporting private equity clients in the Dutch market and beyond. “What truly differentiates Investec is its global platform and financing capabilities, combined with strong local presence and execution power,” he said. “This allows us to offer private equity clients not only M&A advice, but also direct lending, treasury and fund solutions through a single relationship – a compelling proposition in the mid-market.”
Listed on the stock exchanges of Johannesburg and London, Investec has been active in the Netherlands since 2022. The firm today operates from offices in Amsterdam and Den Bosch.
According to Marleen Vermeer, partner at Investec, the Dutch market plays an important role in the firm’s cross-border ambitions. “The Dutch mid-market is highly international in nature,” she said. “Our ambition is to become the adviser of choice for private equity clients that require seamless cross-border execution. With deep sector expertise, direct lending capabilities and a global M&A team of more than 300 professionals, we have the toolkit to compete at the highest level.”
