Marc-André Kamel appointed managing partner of Bain & Company in France
Global strategy consulting firm Bain & Company has appointed Marc-André Kamel as Managing Partner of its French business. He succeeds Ada Di Marzo.
The leadership change follows a seven-year tenure for Di Marzo, during which she led the French practice through a period of strong growth. She has now moved on to become Head of Financial Services for the firm across the Europe, Middle East and Africa (EMEA) region, passing on the torch to long-standing company veteran Kamel.
Kamel has been with Bain & Company since 1988, joining just three years after the US-headquartered firm established its Paris office. Over more than three decades in management consulting, he has advised clients across a wide range of industries, including retail and consumer products, luxury goods, media and tourism.
His work has spanned a broad set of strategic and operational topics, including corporate and business unit strategy, transformation, marketing strategy, cost reduction and operational improvement, mergers and acquisitions, and organisational design.
Kamel previously led Bain & Company’s Retail practice globally for eight years and has since taken on the role of Chairman of the practice (now led by Aaron Cheris). He is also a core member of the firm’s Customer Strategy and Full Potential Transformation practices.
Beyond his client and sector responsibilities, Kamel has held several senior governance roles within Bain & Company. Notably, he chaired the Nominations Committee, overseeing key leadership decisions, and served for six years on the Promotions and Compensation Committee.
