Adastra appoints Petr Zelenka as Chief AI Officer

Adastra, a global technology consulting firm, has appointed Petr Zelenka as Chief AI Officer. He succeeds Ondrej Vanek.

In his new role, Petr Zelenka will oversee Adastra’s portfolio of artificial intelligence (AI) offerings and solutions across the firm’s global footprint, which spans Europe, the Americas, and Asia.

Zelenka most recently served as Managing Director of Blindspot AI, an Adastra subsidiary that develops the technical core of the company’s AI products and solutions. On AI transformation programmes, Blindspot AI works closely with Adastra’s consultants and technologists to deliver end-to-end services.

The group supports clients across the full AI lifecycle, from strategy and algorithm development to AI engineering, enterprise agentic AI, and the implementation of responsible AI practices.

Zelenka joined Blindspot AI around a decade ago as a software architect before progressing to lead AI delivery. He was appointed Chief Technology Officer in 2024.

Vanek, who is stepping down after 12 years in the role, was one of the three people who built Blindspot AI from the ground up, alongside Stepan Kopriva and Michal Pechoucek. “Ondrej brought together and expanded our global AI practice across regions. I look forward to building on the foundation he created and continuing the growth of our AI offering.”

Adastra has more than 2,000 employees and aims to more than double in size under the ownership of private equity giant Carlyle. The firm is jointly headquartered in the Czech Republic and Canada.
