KPMG re-elects Klaus Becker as Chairman for Europe, Middle East and Africa

KPMG has re-elected Klaus Becker as Chairman of its Europe, Middle East and Africa region for a further three-year term.

Effective 1 October 2026, Becker will commence his second term as Chairman of the region, which has around 140,000 people across offices in roughly 100 countries.

The decision, ratified by KPMG’s global leadership team, reflects the firm’s confidence in Becker’s leadership. “Klaus has led the Europe, Middle East and Africa region with impact and purpose, strengthening collaboration and positioning the region to capture emerging opportunities while navigating increasing complexity. I am delighted that he will continue in this role and remain a strong contributor to our global leadership,” said Bill Thomas, Global Chairman and CEO of KPMG.

During his first term as Chairman, Becker played a central role in advancing KPMG’s Global Collective Strategy across the region with a focus on execution and tangible outcomes.

Becker has been with the accounting and consulting firm since 1993. He was appointed to partner in 2001 and became a member of the German Managing Board in 2006. From 2011 to 2023, he served as CEO for KPMG in Germany.

A graduate of the Universität des Saarlands, Becker is a member of the Global Board and the Global Executive Team.
