Accenture strengthens position in Italy with two large acquisitions
Accenture has closed two deals in Italy, buying Alfahealth and Industries eXcellence Group to strengthen its healthcare and industrial capabilities.
Founded over two decades ago, Alfahealth develops and operates technology capabilities in the healthcare sector, delivered as part of its services-plus-product model to support patient journeys, clinical workflows, as well as administrative and operational processes. Its technology enables Italian providers to connect data and support new, more integrated models of care.
The deal sees approximately 1,200 professionals join Accenture’s Health practice.

The second acquisition is that of Industries eXcellence Group, which is headquartered in Rome and has more than 650 professionals based in Italy, the US, India, Germany, and Mexico.
A long-standing partner of Siemens Digital Industries, Industries eXcellence Group specializes in implementing digital thread solutions that help clients connect engineering, manufacturing and automation across IT and operational technology, from product lifecycle management, simulation and digital twins to Supervisory Control and Data Acquisition, industrial edge computing and cloud computing.
Clients of Industries eXcellence Group are companies in industries including aerospace & defense, automotive, consumer goods, energy, high tech, industrial equipment, life sciences and utilities.

Terms of both transactions were not disclosed by Accenture and seller Engineering Group, which has divested both companies to sharpen its focus on its core business segments.
Since 2023, Accenture has completed eight acquisitions in Italy, including IQT (engineering managed services), Ammagamma (artificial intelligence), Intellera Consulting (public sector consulting), Fibermind (5G and fibre-optic networks), and Cabel Industry (financial services).
