Logistics and supply chain consultancy Groenewout celebrates 60th anniversary

This year marks the 60th anniversary of Groenewout, a Netherlands-based logistics and supply chain consultancy.

Founded in 1966, initially as an engineering consultancy, the company has over the past six decades grown into one of the country’s leading logistics and supply chain consulting firms. Since its establishment, Groenewout has delivered more than 4,500 projects for over 1,300 clients across more than 40 countries.

Today, with a team of around 20 employees supported by a network of specialist consultants, Groenewout advises organisations across the entire supply chain. The firm delivers approximately 75 projects each year, focusing on supply chain strategy, logistics network design and optimisation, warehouse operations, and end-to-end supply chain processes.

Anniversary event

The anniversary celebration, held on 18 June, gathered more than 100 guests at a historic monastery to celebrate the company’s remarkable journey while reflecting on the challenges and opportunities facing the logistics sector in the years ahead.

Presentations on leadership, change management, personal development, and influence highlighted themes that are becoming increasingly important in today’s dynamic business environment. At the same time, the event provided ample opportunity for networking and informal discussions with clients, partners, and industry peers.

“The challenges facing our clients have evolved continuously over the past 60 years,” said Alain Beerens, who has been leading Groenewout since 2019. “What has remained constant is the need for guidance, experience, and a deep understanding of logistics processes.”

Strategic partnership with EPG Consulting

One of the significant milestones in Groenewout’s recent history was its integration into Ehrhardt Partner Group (EPG), a global provider of supply chain and logistics solutions. Within EPG, Groenewout works alongside EPG Consulting, the group’s own consulting division.

The joining of forces enables clients to benefit from an approach that combines Groenewout’s decades of industry expertise with EPG Consulting’s international capabilities in project management, planning, and implementation.
