Alvarez & Marsal hires Italian restructuring experts Francesco Leone and Claudia Lotti

Global professional services firm Alvarez & Marsal has expanded its restructuring and turnaround capability in Italy with two senior hires.

Francesco Leone and Claudia Lotti have both joined Alvarez & Marsal as Managing Directors and Co-Heads of the Financial and Operational Restructuring practice in Italy. Both practitioners specialize in operational and financial turnaround, crisis management, interim roles, stakeholder management, and liquidity management for large corporates, mid-market firms, financial shareholders and private equity firms.

Francesco Leone brings more than 30 years of experience of advisory and interim roles in operational turnaround, strategic planning, and performance improvement. Prior to joining Alvarez & Marsal, he served as the Italy Country Head for the Corporate Finance & Restructuring team at FTI Consulting.

Previously, he was a Managing Director and Partner at Boston Consulting Group in its Milan office and Head of its Restructuring wing (called TURN) for Italy, Greece, Turkey, and Israel. Before that he was a Managing Director at AlixPartners in Italy.

Claudia Lotti also joins from FTI Consulting, where she was a Senior Managing Director and leader in the Corporate Finance & Restructuring practice. Before that, she was part of the Turnaround practice at Boston Consulting Group in Milan and the Turnaround & Restructuring practice at AlixPartners in Milan and London.
