Detecon appoints Uwe Heckert as its new Chief Executive Officer

Detecon has appointed Uwe Heckert as its new Chief Executive Officer. Effective July the 1st, he succeeds fellow German Jürgen Schäfer.

The new chief joins Detecon from T-Systems, the company’s parent, where he most recently served as Chief Operations Officer for its Healthcare division. In this role, he led the company’s telecom, digital infrastructure and ICT solutions to clients in the healthcare sector, driving the business through a period of growth.

Throughout his career, Heckert has led growth and transformation initiatives across industries and markets, with a focus on healthcare and public sector. Prior to joining T-Systems, he held various senior and executive leadership positions at Philips, Unisys and McKinsey & Company.

As CEO, Heckert now leads Detecon’s strategic direction, growth agenda, and operations. He oversees a team of over 1,200 consultants in around 20 countries.

The appointment sees Heckert become a member of the Management Board of T-Systems.
