Alvarez & Marsal adds Javier García-Baos to Debt Advisory practice

Global management consulting firm Alvarez & Marsal has strengthened its Debt Advisory practice in Iberia with Javier García-Baos.

Appointed a Managing Director, based in Madrid, García-Baos will lead the firm’s Debt Advisory practice in Spain, supporting banks, private equity funds, companies, shareholders, entrepreneurs and family-owned businesses in the design and execution of their financing strategies.

Commenting on his appointment, García-Baos said: “Spain’s financing market continues to evolve, with a growing range of private credit alternatives alongside traditional bank financing. Against this backdrop, clients are increasingly seeking expert advice to identify the right financing solutions for their needs. I am excited to join the Debt Advisory practice in Madrid and work closely with teams across Alvarez & Marsal.”

García-Baos has 15 years of experience in debt advisory and corporate finance, specializing in leveraged acquisitions, corporate transaction financing and capital structure optimization.

Prior to joining Alvarez & Marsal, he held positions at firms including Kenta Capital and J.P. Morgan, as well as at consultancies PwC and Grant Thornton.
