Reanda International, an international group of independent accounting and consulting firms, has expanded its presence in Europe with the admission of Scope Audit & Assurance to its network. The newly joined firm provides Reanda with a footprint in the Netherlands and Russia.

With over 3,500 professionals across nearly 100 offices globally, Reanda International ranks among the globe’s 20 largest international networks for accountancy and consultancy services. Having originated in Hong Kong and China, Reanda has a particularly strong presence in Asia and Asia Pacific, but the firm also has a growing network in the Middle East (UAE, Egypt) and Europe (among others Germany, Greece, Italy, Poland, Portugal, Romania and the UK). Similar to its nearest rivals, member firms provide and end-to-end range of accounting, audit, tax consulting and business advisory services to both private and public sector clients.

The latest firm to join its ranks, Scope Audit & Assurance, is a an accounting and consulting firm with offices in Amsterdam (headquarters) and Moscow. Its team consists of four partners with a Big Four background and a further 12 professional and support staff.

Commenting on the expansion drive, Huang Jinhui, Chairman of Reanda International said, “We are delighted to welcome the joining of such an ambitious firm. The Netherlands is the gateway to Europe with a well-established and mature logistics infrastructure, the firm therefore will play an important role in the development of Reanda International's Europe region. In addition, Scope Audit & Assurance is very experienced in handling business from the CIS [Commonwealth of Independent States] region.”Reanda International adds offices in Amsterdam and MoscowElaborating on the firm’s track record in Russian Commonwealth, Jinhui highlighted the base Scope Audit & Assurance Managing Partner Gerard Uijtendaal has developed in the region. After working for BDO in the Netherlands, Uijtendaal relocated to Moscow to work for Deloitte, IRS Forensic Investigations & Integrity Services and Schouten Global, where he served as CEO of the Russian wing. And prior to founding Scope at the end of 2017, Uijtendaal was the Regional Leader for HLB in the Eurasia region, spanning Russia and other CIS states. He currently serves as Chairman of the Accounting Committee of the Association of European Businesses in Russia.

Reanda’s push into Russia comes at a time when the local advisory market has returned to growth. While the market remains volatile to external shocks such as sanctions and oil/gas prices, 2019 is forecast to bring another year of slow-but-steady growth. Meanwhile, the Dutch accountancy and consultancy landscape is on a high, with market growth at its highest point since the outbreak of the crisis, according to Dutch platform Consultancy.nl.

“After opening our office in Moscow last year, the membership with Reanda International network will provide us with a stronger fundament to our ambitious growth strategy in the Netherlands and in Russia,” remarked Uijtendaal. “The partnership enhances our capabilities to service international companies in audit, tax and advisory, while being part of a top 20 international network will give us better visibility to clients and employees.”
