Accuracy appoints new partners in UK, Germany, Italy and the Netherlands

International financial advisory firm Accuracy has in recent months appointed four new partners in its European offices, taking its total number of partners to 43 globally. All four partners have been recruited externally. 

In Frankfurt, Gemany, Guido Althaus joined Accuracy from Alvarez & Marsal, where he served the past three years as a Senior Director. Guido brings with him more than two decades of experience in the professional services industry, previously holding roles at Baker Tilly, and Big Four firms EY and KPMG. Althaus is specialised in national and international transactions, as well as in disputes, turnarounds and broader restructuring engagements. Over the course of his career he has worked for both large corporates and mid-market companies, as well as capital investors.

Rick Barker is a Partner at Accuracy in Italy, based in the firm’s Milan office. He joined the French-origin advisory group in the summer of last year from Deloitte, where he served as a Principal Director based at the firm’s Dubai office. At the Big Four firm, he led Deloitte’s Forensic Technology for the Middle East. He previously worked for EY and Deloitte in London, and gained over a decade of experience in technology, forensics, law enforcement and cybercrime roles at several employers. At Accuracy, he has been tasked with leading Accuracy’s Forensic Technology Lab.Guido Althaus, Rick Barker, Jas Cheema, Reinier HuismanJas Cheema has strengthened Accuracy’s partner team in London. He is a quantity surveyor and was first appointed as expert witness in 2011, with a focus on construction and infrastructure projects. His experience includes quantum expert appointments in Europe and the Middle-East. He joined the firm from FTI Consulting, where he was a Senior Director in its UAE hub. Recognised in Who's Who Legal 2016 and 2017 as a leading Construction Expert and as a leading Consulting Expert on construction quantum matters, Cheema is in the UK a member of the Chartered Institution of Civil Engineering Surveyors and a member of the Chartered Institute of Arbitrators. 

In the Netherlands, Reinier Huisman became Accuracy's third partner in Amsterdam. Prior to joining, Huisman was responsible for the strategy and development of eBay in the Netherlands. Previously, he worked in the Strategy arm of KPMG in the country, which is housed within its Transaction Advisory Services wing. In his new role, Huisman focuses on services including commercial due diligence, valuation & litigation support and market entry/feasibility analysis. Other partners of Acuracy’s Dutch office are Leontine Koens-Betz, who founded the Dutch office in 2007, and Bas van Helden – with both having also enjoyed a background at KPMG.
