Accuracy partner new President of Association for Corporate Growth | Holland

The Dutch arm of the Association for Corporate Growth, ACG Holland, has appointed Bas van Helden, a Partner at advisory firm Accuracy, as its new President. 

Founded in 1954, the Association for Corporate Growth (ACG) is an organisation that represents the mid-market segment of the M&A space. The association’s mission is to drive middle-market growth, with its chapters worldwide serving a total of 90,000 investors, executives, lenders and advisers to middle-market companies. 

The Dutch wing of the group was established in 2005. Similar to its international counterparts, ACG Holland connects growing businesses with local and global capital markets, and helps to facilitate relationship building between deal making professionals, spanning capital providers (private equity / venture capitalists), M&A advisors, corporate executives, accountants and attorneys. 

At the helm of ACG Holland is a Board team of 13 members, led most recently by Roelof Valkenier, Practice Leader Private Equity and M&A at Marsh, a subsidiary of Marsh & McLennan Companies, also the parent of Oliver Wyman and Mercer, among others. Following completion of his term, the Board have elected Bas van Helden as the 2018 President of ACG Holland. Under his direction, ACG Holland will serve its more than 150 members in the Netherlands, who typically come together eight to ten times per year to exchange knowledge, best practices and network. Bas van HeldenVan Helden has twenty years’ experience with M&A and complex valuation situations. In his daily job, he is a Partner at Accuracy, an international financial advisory firm with fourteen offices globally and a long-term sponsor of the Dutch chapter. Previously, he worked for KPMG in the firm’s M&A wing. He works for clients in both the public and private sectors, cooperating with senior management, supervisory boards, shareholders and other advisors.

Commenting on his new challenge, Van Helden said, “I am very pleased to be elected as the 2018 President of ACG Holland. During 2017 we attracted many new members and sponsors and hosted a record number of events. In 2018, I am looking forward to continuing the growth and success of the chapter by expanding our network and building on the accomplishments of our previous leaders.”

Globally, the Association for Corporate Growth is led by the American Patrick Morris. He oversees the firm’s over 14,500 members.
