BrazilComatch France appoints Bernhard Ney and Clément Eymard
The French practice of Comatch has made two senior appointments in its organisation. Clément Eymard has been named Director of France, filling the shoes of Bernhard Ney, who in turn has been elevated to the role of International Managing Director.
Comatch first entered the French market at the start of 2017, and six months into the venture, Bernhard Ney came on board to lead the growth ambition. France is Europe’s third largest management consulting market by size, and as Comatch co-founder Christoph Hardt put it back then; “we need to have a strong local presence in France in order to be top of mind of European clients and consultants.”
Comatch is a matchmaker of independent consultants and experts, supporting clients with staffing their consultancy projects and interim roles. The private equity-backed company was founded in 2015 in Germany, and today has a database of over 9,000 consultants across industries and functional areas. Most of its affiliated consultants are former strategy consultants and Big Four advisors.
Under Ney’s leadership, France has grown into Comatch’s second largest market behind Germany, with some 1,400 consultants in its database. “Our strong growth in the French market is in line with our international ambitions,” said Hardt. He elaborated; “We aim to achieve a leading role on the European stage.”
Former Boston Consulting Group consultant Ney has now been rewarded for his lead role. Per the 1st of November, he has been named International Managing Director, responsible for further growth in all areas outside of the DACH region (Germany, Austria and Switzerland), UK and Ireland and the United States – spanning France, Benelux, the Nordics, Southern Europe and Middle East.
Taking over the helm of the French team is the 35-year-old Clément Eymard, who has been with the firm for over 2.5 years. After holding various marketing and sales positions at French medical devices company Essilor and spending two years with Klépierre, Eymard joined Comatch in 2017 in Berlin. He has been part of the launching French team, and will now leverage this experience in his new role.
“Since joining Comatch, Clément has demonstrated his leadership, business development and operational capabilities. He is the natural candidate for this position,” said Ney.
Eymard leads a team of around ten business developers and resourcing experts. Globally, Comatch has a headcount of over 150 staff.
