Nexia adds member firms in Slovenia and Switzerland

Professional services firm Nexia has bolstered its European network with new member firms in Slovenia and Switzerland. 

In Slovenia, local accounting and advisory firm AGC Consultatio has joined the network of the international group. AGC Consultatio has a team of eight professionals, led by partner managing partner Maja Barisic, working from offices in Slovenia’s capital Ljubljana and Koper, the country’s fifth largest city. 

The Slovenian firm offers a wide range of business services including auditing, accounting, consulting and mergers & acquisitions (financial, tax and legal due diligence advice). 

Commenting on the affiliation, Barisic commented: “Our small but highly experienced team has extensive knowledge of providing audit and assurance services for (international) clients. For us, joining Nexia’s extensive global network is a natural choice, enabling us to access the wealth of experience offered by its 250 members in 120+ countries.”

Meanwhile, in Switzerland, Fidi BC, a player with two partners and 14 members of staff, has joined Nexia’s international roster of member firms. Fidi BC is based in Lugano and Roveredo, both located in the Italian-speaking part of Switzerland. The firm provides a range of business services focusing on audit, tax, financial due diligence, payroll, IT, consulting and real estate.

“We want to support our expansion and improve our visibility with the help of members in Nexia’s network, who bring with them a wealth of experience and high standards,” said Simone Biaggi, a partner at Fidi BC. 

The move in Switzerland comes six months after another boutique player, Testaris (three partners and nine members of staff) joined Nexia. Basel-based Testaris provides audit, advisory, accounting, tax and M&A services in a wide range of sectors. 

Speaking on the expansion in the two European countries, Kevin Arnold, CEO of Nexia International, said: “AGC Consultatio brings both superb local knowledge of the Slovenian market and extensive international expertise that our members can benefit from. Fidi BC offers our members specialist knowledge of the Swiss market with particular focus on Italian speaking clients. We are looking forward to working with them.”

Earlier this year, accounting and advisory services firm Nexia added a member firm in Kosovo.
