BrazilSimon-Kucher partner Marc Matar relocates to Paris office
Simon-Kucher partner Marc Matar has relocated from the firm’s office in London back to Paris.
The Lebanese-origin Matar joined the global consulting firm straight from university, after completing his Master in Pharmaceutical Marketing and Management at European business school ESCP. Previously, he attained a Doctor of Medicine from the Saint Joseph University in Beirut, Lebanon.
At Simon-Kucher & Partners, Matar focuses on clients in the pharmaceutical and biotech sectors. He advises them across a wide range of therapeutic areas, specialising in strategic pharmaceutical marketing, market entry strategies, product life-cycle strategies and market access and pricing.
Matar joined Simon-Kucher in 2006, when the consultancy was still a fraction of its current size. Back then, the firm – which specialises in strategy, sales & marketing – generated revenues of around €60 million, while today fee income is more than five times higher, at over €300 million. Continuing its stellar growth path, the firm has the ambition to reach €400 million by the end of next year.
Following four years in the firm’s London office, where he led its life science activities in the UK, Matar has now returned to Paris, where he spent the first eight of his thirteen years in total at the firm.
The French division of Simon-Kucher & Partners is led by Kai Bandilla, a 17-year veteran at the firm. Globally, the company is led by a German and an Englishman: Andreas von der Gathen and Mark Billige.
