Back then, the firm – which specialises in strategy, sales & marketing – generated revenues of around €60 million, while today fee income is more than five times higher, at over €300 million. Continuing its stellar growth path, the firm has the ambition to reach €400 million by the end of next year.

Following four years in the firm’s London office, where he led its life science activities in the UK, Matar has now returned to Paris, where he spent the first eight of his thirteen years in total at the firm.

The French division of Simon-Kucher & Partners is led by Kai Bandilla, a 17-year veteran at the firm. Globally, the company is led by a German and an Englishman: Andreas von der Gathen and Mark Billige.
