Jean-Marc Ollagnier new CEO of Accenture's European division
Accenture has named the Frenchman Jean-Marc Ollagnier as Chief Executive Officer of its European division.
Ollagnier is a more than thirty year veteran at Accenture, having joined the firm (at the time Andersen Consulting) in 1986. Eleven years later, he was appointed partner and has since held a series of leadership roles with growing responsibility.
As CEO of Europe, effective from March 1st, Ollagnier will oversee one of Accenture’s largest regional business units, housing more than 100,000 of the firm’s 505,000-strong global headcount. He assumes responsibility for all facets of Accenture’s business in the continent, including sales, business development and delivery for the Strategy & Consulting, Interactive, Technology and Operations services, as well as internal operations.
He leads a management team consisting of among others Olly Benzecry (CEO of UK & Ireland), Olivier Girard (CEO of France & Benelux), Frank Riemensperger (CEO of Austria, Switzerland, Germany, Russia) and Fabio Benasso (CEO of Italy, Central Europe and Greece).Outside of Europe, he will work closely with his regional counterparts including Jimmy Etheredge (CEO of North America), Fabio Vacirca (CEO of Asia Pacific and Middle East), Wei Zhu (CEO of Greater China), Atsushi Egawa (CEO of Japan), Leonardo Framil (CEO of Latin America) and Gianfranco Casati (CEO of Growth Markets).
Ollagnier currently is group chief executive of Accenture's Resources operating group, which serves clients in the chemicals, energy, natural resources and utilities industries. Prior to being named to this position in March 2011, he headed the same operating group across Europe, Latin America, the Middle East and Africa.
Earlier in his Accenture career, Ollagnier served as global managing director of the Financial Services Solutions group, with responsibility for asset-based solutions for insurance and banking, and was responsible for the Financial Services strategic alliance with SAP. He also led the France and Benelux regional division, spanning France, the Netherlands, Belgium and Luxembourg.
The new Europe CEO remains a member of Accenture's Global Management Committee, which as of March 1 2020 will have 39 members, 15 of whom will be direct reports to the CEO Julie Sweet.
