Advanced Mobility Services, a company that provides hardware and software solutions, has agreed a partnership with consulting firm Bostec.

The agreement sees Bostec become an implementation partner of ‘AMS Rent’, an ERP-like solution dedicated to machine rental companies. The cloud-based solution digitises the entire online booking process from availability through to conformation, and provides the backbone to customer portals which provides clients with information such as rental status, rental history and payment details.

From an operations perspective, AMS Rent automates the entire rental process, spanning booking, contracting, delivery and invoicing, as well as customer service and after-sales. Leveraging integrations with telematics and internet of things technology, AMS Rent can also support aspects such as user authorisation, machine usage during rental and location history.

Advanced Mobility Services ties partnership with BostecSince launching in 2017, following two years of preparation and testing, Advanced Mobility Services has seen several clients – large companies and smaller and mid-sized operators – adopt its AMS Rent solution.

To meet its growing customer base, Advanced Mobility Services has now tapped Bostec as an implementation partner. “We see the collaboration with Bostec as the ultimate solution for successful implementations in the future,” said a spokesperson of the Netherlands-headquartered company, which has further offices in Portugal, the US and Oman.

Bostec’s extensive track record in the rental industry, combined with its deep knowledge of process optimisation and project management, were the key reasons why the consultancy managed to win the mandate and fend off competition for the role. “Bostec also has a proven track record regarding implementing company-wide applications in various markets,” stated Advanced Mobility Services.

Founded in 1992 Bostec is a management consulting firm specialised in three sectors: mobility, industry and healthcare. The firm’s 40 consultants are based in the Netherlands, but operate internationally. Since 2014, Bostec is part of VINCI Energies, a French conglomerate with revenues of over €13 billion.
