Three consulting firms – Alpha FMC, EY and Sionic – have been recognised as top consultants to Europe’s asset & wealth management industry.

The trio of consultancies have all made the final cut of the Wealth Briefing Awards, a competition which celebrates companies, teams and individuals that have demonstrated excellence in the private banking, wealth management, alternatives and investment landscape.

In the ‘Management Consultancy’ category, last year’s winner EY has once again made the top podium. The company is a trusted advisor to many of Europe’s largest wealth management players, serving the market through its Wealth & Asset Management practice. This division is led by Mike Lee globally (based in New York) and Alex Birkin in Europe (based in London).

The second finalist, Alpha FMC, is a specialist consulting firm to asset and wealth managers. The public company, founded in 2003 and headquartered in London, has around 400 consultants and staff, working from European offices in London, Edinburgh, Paris, Geneva, Zürich, Amsterdam and Luxembourg, and further international offices in New York, Boston and Singapore.

Leading asset & wealth management consultants

Sionic is a global consulting firm dedicated to the financial services industry. Launched under its current brand last year, following the merger of UK-based Catalyst Development and US-based Sionic Advisors, Sionic has around 300 employees across eleven office in the America’s, Europe and Asia.

Commenting on the appreciation by clients, a delighted Gilly Green, Sionic’s Managing Partner of the Wealth Management & Private Banking practice, said “We’re delighted that our team’s impact has been recognised for one of the industry’s stand-out marks of esteem. It comes at a very exciting time for our firm, as we are on a rapid and global growth trajectory.”

Sionic supports its clients – asset and wealth managers, banks, clearing houses and exchanges, private equity players, hedge and fund administrators and (re-)insurers – with expertise in organisation development, finance & risk, regulation, financial crime, cyber security, data and technology.

The winner of the Wealth Briefing Award for Management Consultancy will be unveiled at a ceremony on 23 April in London.
