The Dutch arm of international professional services group Crowe Horwath has appointed two new partners: Robin Postma, based in Amsterdam, and Jorgo Hameetman, based in Rotterdam.

Robin Postma joined Crowe Horwath Peak – one of the two members firms of Crowe Horwath in the Netherlands; the other being Crowe Horwath Foederer – on January 1, 2018 from PwC, where he was a Senior Manager in the firm’s Financial Services wing. Prior to his four and a half year spell at PwC, he served rival Big Four firm KPMG, where he gained experience in both audit and assurance, working for a wide array of medium- and large-sized clients with a focus on large insurance entities.

Postma, who specialises in external audit, accounting (IFRS) and internal audit, started his career with Boon Accountants, a local Dutch accounting and advisory firm based in the city of Apeldoorn, where he ascended the ranks to Assistant Manager.

At Crowe Horwath Peak, which has three offices in the Netherlands, Postma has been tasked with leading the firm’s Audit and Advisory practice in Amsterdam. Commenting on his new challenge, he said, “I look forward to the role. I have come to know Crowe Horwath Peak as an organisation with ambitious, open-minded and driven colleagues and a highly valued hands-on mentality; delivering high-level services. These are qualities that fit me well. In addition, the internationally oriented Amsterdam region is a suitable place to enable further growth.”

Robin Postma, Gijs Veenenbos and Jorgo Hameetman - Crowe Horwath Peak

Jorgo Hameetman has been appointed a partner from within the firm’s own ranks. “Since my arrival at Crowe Horwath Peak in 2015, I have felt very much at home with the organisation. I am therefore very pleased with the trust that has been shown from the existing partner group. I will continue to work with commitment and passion to help in creating a bright future for our clients and colleagues,” he said.

Hameetman joined the accountancy from top 10 competitor Grant Thornton, where he was latterly a Senior Audit Manager based in the firm’s Gouda office. He has extensive experience in the national and the international auditing practice, having earlier in his career also gained experience at Mazars and a local Dutch firm. Hameetman studied at Nyenrode Business University and is a Chartered Accountant.

Crowe Horwath Peak’s managing partner Gijs Veenenbos, who has been with the company since 1992, remarked on Hameetman’s promotion: “I have come to know Jorgo as a very keen, enthusiastic and pleasant personality. He is young, very smart and his commitment helps us fulfill our promise. Clients and employees can rely on him, helping us to build our future together with great confidence.”

Globally, Crowe Horwath has over 33,000 employees in 130+ countries. In the Netherlands, Crowe Horwath Foederer serves mainly the local Dutch market, while Crowe Horwath Peak focuses on local clients with international matters.
