Carat's global boss Christine Removille joins Bain & Company
Marketing and digital expert Christine Removille has joined Bain & Company, following just under two years as global president of advertising agency Carat. Removille was previously a founder of Accenture Interactive in Europe, and has spent more than 25 years in the consulting and agency space.
In the latest development in the on-going competition between the advertising and consulting world, Christine Removille has returned to the advisory business, following an 18-month stint with Carat – a member of the Dentsu Aegis, a multinational media and digital marketing communications company headquartered in London. She was installed as the new Carat Global President at the beginning of September 2018, having been a founding member of Accenture Interactive.
At the time of her exit, Removille was the Managing Director for Europe, Latin, America & Africa for Accenture Interactive, and the move saw her call time on a 20-year association with Accenture. She arrived at the firm in 1998, working her way up from Consultant to Partner over the course of the following 11 years. In 2012, Removille moved to Accenture Analytics, becoming Managing Director for France, Belgium and the Netherlands for the next three years, before helping to launch the Interactive brand.
Removille’s appointment comes at a pivotal moment for the advertising industry, as the line between consulting duties and those of media agencies increasingly blurs. At the time, it was said to illustrate the fact that this process was actually moving in both directions, however, and in terms of the agency world, the sector had been forced to start to build consulting skills. Now though, Removille has re-joined the consulting industry, taking up a new role with Bain & Company.
“The role of CMOs has drastically changed in the digital economy. They are looking for partners they can trust to deliver transformational outcomes. Transformation and change management backed by robust methodologies, innovation and agility are important to the success of every organisation,” said Removille. “I am excited to join Bain & Company, a leading strategic consultancy with a proven track record in transformation and an ecosystem of digital innovators, to deliver better, faster and more enduring outcomes to advertisers.”
She joins the MBB strategy consultancy as an expert Partner on consumer and marketing excellence, as well as a global leader in the firm’s consumer products and customer strategy and marketing practices. This will see Removille work with Bain’s deep bench of design, customer experience, marketing and digital experts to advise clients on major strategic transformations to build human experiences in the digital environment. Removille is based in Bain’s Paris office.
Andreas Dullweber, who leads Bain’s customer strategy and marketing practice in Europe, the Middle East and Africa, said, “Christine is a forward-thinking leader committed to supporting clients throughout their digital transformation and delivering real business results – a true passion for Christine, and for Bain. Her marketing, digital and consulting expertise will be strategic assets for Bain and our clients as together we navigate the challenges and opportunities that digital presents for their businesses.”
