Anastasios Panagiotou and Thilo Zelt join BCG in Germany
Boston Consulting Group has welcomed two new partners in its German partnership.
Greek-origin Anastasios Panagiotou joined the strategy and management consulting firm as a partner in its Insurance practice, and co-lead of its Insurance Risk practice. He specialises in finance, risk management, capital, investments and strategy.
Panagiotou brings over thirteen years of consulting experience to the firm, having previously worked for Oliver Wyman since graduating from the University of Cologne in 2007.
“Anastasios’ experience in advising European and global insurance companies perfectly complement our team. He will support our clients in developing innovative solutions in response to a rapidly changing market. Welcome to the group!,” said Matthias Tauber, senior partner and Head of BCG for Germany & Austria.
Thilo Zelt has meanwhile joined the Public Sector industry vertical as a partner. “Thilo is a digital transformation expert and will help our clients in the public sector execute large-scale digitalisation projects. We look forward to seeing your work come to fruition,” remarked Tauber.
Zelt has a wealth of consulting experience under his belt. He joins Boston Consulting Group from Roland Berger, where he was a partner in the firm’s Berlin office. Before that he was an independent consultant and entrepreneur in the field of green-tech and renewable energy, with a particular focus on energy systems, biofuels, regulated industries and public/private infrastructure.
At BCG, he will focus mainly on the topics of government digitisation strategies and digital transformation.
Earlier this year, BCG’s German wing hired Wilhelm Schmundt as a partner from Bain & Company.
